 Slurry Pumps

A Slurry Pump is a pump system designed to handle the extracting of all sorts of different goop. Slurry pumps are very commonly used in all sorts of industries. The most common application of the pump is in the mining sector. Often in mining, substances that contain substrate must be pumped in liquid form rather than waiting for them to dry and removing them as solids. Slurry pumps can also be found commonly in the manufacturing industry, performing such tasks as pumping cement in order to produce many different consumer items. Slurry pumps are often used in storm zones and other emergency areas where there may be flooding, to pump water and debris out of the area.

All of this sounds fairly similar to an average water pump, but a slurry pump is very different. Slurry pumps are designed to handle all of the debris and rough solids being thrown at it continuously. Unlike a water pipe, none of these will break a slurry pump. The pumps are lined with a hard rubber so as not to wear out, as well as having interior parts frequently comprised of hardened metals.
